At the Horizon Academy event on 9 September 2026, participants discussed the future role of NCPs in FP10 and the European Competitiveness Fund (ECF).
The discussions highlighted the need to define NCPs’ role early, ensuring they remain the primary advisory network for applicants and beneficiaries while working closely with other support structures through clear responsibilities and coordinated collaboration.
The resulting report reflects the collective expertise of the Horizon Academy (NCP4HE) community and provides recommendations for a coherent, client-oriented advisory system that supports an accessible, efficient, and impactful European research and innovation ecosystem.
